Restoration of vintage gear is also a favorite activity here in the laboratories of WAØVKC.  Many classics are awaiting their turn on the bench.  Each piece has been selected because of a personal connection with the unit.  For example, the original HW-100, assembled while in high school, is near the top of the list.
Here is a Genave GTX-200 that belonged to my dad WØJR.  After some minor repairs, I added a speaker obtained from a local hamfest.  I enjoy checking into the local 2m net with this vintage unit.
